Yesterday morning, Brianna awakened at 5:30 am. She was crying such a pitiful cry and we figured she probably had a bad dream. After a little while, Jordan got up and took her to the recliner and they both went back to sleep for a while. When she woke up and wanted to get down, Jordan told her to be good. (Probably because he knew I was still sleeping) She looked at him and said "OK" ... "Have a Good Day!"
Who knows what she will come up with next!
Have a Good Day

Pappy Came!
My Dad found out that he had a load (in his semi) to Washington and was planning to stop by the Tuesday before Easter. He thought Easter was the last Sunday of the month and so he had already taken the load. Then, when he realized his mistake, he worked it out to stop on his way home on Easter weekend instead of Tues. I felt so bad for my Mom, but she was glad he got to come and see us. She had all of her boys with her. Nothing like splitting up the family! Anyhow, since we thought he was coming earlier, we had been telling Brianna that Pappy was coming in his big truck and then continued to tell her all week. I think she wondered if he was ever going to arrive, because just a little while after he got here, she got kind of quiet and very seriously said, "You comed?"
They had so much fun together- having a tea party, reading books, playing blocks, and reading more books. She got spoiled! We all had such a great time.

What a Week!
I know it has been forever since I posted, so I will try to get caught up. We decided to have three services on Easter - a special morning service, kid's afternoon S.S. and evening worship. (We normally just have S.S. and evening service.) Jordan made flyers and we called on almost every house in the community. That was at the beginning of last week.
We found out that my Dad was going to be able to be with us on Easter. He was on his way home from a trip to Washington. So on Thursday our day consisted of running to Mobridge to make a call, picking up groceries, cleaning, packing, mopping up floods in our basement (drainage problems) finishing up all of our Easter preparations, and building a snowman! We came home to 5 inches of snow! (The most we have had yet!) Brianna was so excited that she didn't want to come in the house, so Jordan quickly built her first snowman! I will post snow & Easter pictures later.
Friday morning we left for Rapid City (Four and a half hours) to go to a Family night for "Lonely Westerners!" We spent a little time shopping and fighting the Easter crowd before the party. Then we went to Brent and Nicki Woodard's house for supper and the evening . We had a great time! There were 22 of us. There was only one family there that attends their church and only had a 15 minute drive. The rest of us ranged from 2 1/2 - 5 hrs! We left early Sat morning and got back in time to get things put away and make supper before my Dad arrived.
We had a nice visit and it was so special having family here for Easter. He was able to stay until Mon. morning. Brianna absolutely loves her Pappy and had a great time playing, getting spoiled and being read to. Sunday was busy- seemed like all we did was cook, go to church, cook, eat, go to church again, etc.
Then, after being on my feet all day and not getting my Sunday nap, (which I normally never do anyhow) we had to get up early and leave for Bismarck. (1 1/2 hrs.) Brianna had a picture appt. at 12 , I had a doctor's appt. later that day and we did our monthly shopping. Suffice it to say, I am worn out! I know it probably seems like nothing to some of you, but our lives aren't usually so hectic out here in SD !

Company
Last week, the Costrini's, our friends here in town, came over for supper. Brianna enjoyed playing with Caleb and baby Annie who is almost ready to start walking. The Costrini's pastor the Prairie Bible Church here in McLaughlin. When we first became acquainted, we were surprised to find that Chris (who looks like Luke LaVan's twin) was from Apollo, PA and knew where my old hometown, Mamont, was. Small world!

Ouchies
Lately, Brianna has been doing the wierdest thing. Whenever she hurts herself, she immediately begins yelling, "No kiss me, Mommy!" If you try to offer any sort of comfort, she insists all the more that she does not want kissed etc. But as soon as I say, "Okay, I won't kiss you if you don't want me to", she comes running to me wimpering, "Kiss me."

Let's Ride
The weather warmed up and Brianna got to play outside while Daddy worked on the yard. She had fun riding in the wheelbarrow until Jordan took his load out to the dumpster and emptied it. When he told her the dump truck would come and get all the trash, she got scared and didn't want to be near the dumpster or have anything to do with the wheel barrow. She didn't want to ride in the wheelbarrow today either! Beautiful day today--warmed up to 60!

Cute sentences
The other day I heard Brianna "struggling" in her room. I could tell she was trying to get her blanket out of the crib. I went in to assist her and asked her what was wrong. She said, "I'm having troubles!"
Then this morning I was folding Jordan's socks and she was trying them on. It was so funny-they came up to her knees! I told Jordan, "Come look at your daughter." After he went back in the kitchen she said, "Come look at Bri's daughter!"
